Foster care and Adoptions for rescued dogs.

Both our locations, Gray and Scarborough, have teamed up with “Luck Pup Rescue” and “Beau Buddy Rescue”. We have agreed to be Foster parents to a few dogs that need care until they can find a place to call home.

Meet Tucker!

He is having a great time playing with many doggy friends and learning excellent manners with his new foster dad. Tucker is fine with their kids and cats and loves getting all the exercise he could dream of, firm leadership, and consistent expectations.

Tucker loves toys (especially squeaky ones & tug of war ropes) but usually rips them apart if left alone with them. Toys trump food - and he is not food aggressive. He is very affectionate with his owners and has no problem being handled & likes being groomed (except having nails trimmed).

Tucker is good with cats and dogs once properly introduced. When Tucker was little he had to have hip surgeries so he may need a little help getting in and out of vehicles that are tall, and he can't jump a sturdy fence because of that limitation. He sometimes gets a running start to jump up on things - too cute!

Tucker is very sensitive AND smart. He is afraid of some household noises like the vacuum cleaner. He sometimes is protective of household; and is territorial by nature so firm leadership is important so Tucker realizes he doesn't need to take that job. Tucker's fave snacks are peanut butter & cottage cheese. He also is a fan of Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream (doggie dish with bone on top).

Tucker is crate trained, and goes to crate for comfort & will sleep there at night (when not on someone's bed). He loves walks and knows some basic commands. He is s good passenger and a lovebug with his humans!

Tucker's new family will benefit from some initial training which will be provided by the rescue so that Tucker's next transition will be to a forever home.

Meet TEX!

He is a beautiful Foxhound mix who is approximately 3 years old. He has had a long road behind him but all he cares about is having fun and looking forward to a new forever home! Tex listens well and knows his basic commands. His current foster feels that Tex's potential is boundless and that he could handle any task he was trained for. He is an energetic boy, but by day's end, Tex is tired and goes to sleep very quickly! He has a wonderful spirit and is an intelligent, curious dog. He loves chew toys and could play with a ball for hours! He does well in group settings and is a faithful companion to his people. He is a love of a dog and just wants attention and a safe and happy home where there would be someone home to keep him company more often than not. If you think that you the person that Tex has been looking for, please contact us to find out about our adoption process.

Thanks so much for considering rescue!
